Please allow us to introduce you to Caramel Sundae.  We almost exclusively refer to this extra sassy and playful kitten as “Twerp.”

Twerp was found on the side of Mound Road in Warren, Michigan by Michelle Dimaria with Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren (P.A.A.W.)  P.A.A.W volunteer, Chris Shelton, agreed to foster Twerp.  Chris also serves on the board of directors for Smokey Acres so, when Twerp tested positive for FeLV, he knew just who to call! 

Twerp joined Smokey Acres in July 2016 as a 3-4 month old kitten.   When she first arrived, she was very frightened.  Our veteran resident, Bailey, was introduced to her first because he is such a quiet and sweet fella.  Bailey lived with Twerp for several weeks in solitude while she acclimated to the sounds and smells of our sanctuary.  Finally, Twerp was able to join the colony and has owned it ever since!
