Chloe was originally named “Regal” when she was found trapped in the engine of a Buick Regal by our rescue partner and friend, Christopher Shelton.  Chris has been the source for several of our residents due to his extensive volunteer work with cat communities in the Metro Detroit area.

Sweet Chloe was only weeks old when she came to Smokey Acres in June of 2014.  She still had those delicious droopy kitten eyes and we fell in love immediately.  Chloe remained loving and playful while she aged and we especially enjoyed her pigeon purr.

As many cats who contract the leukemia virus while they are kittens, Chloe did not live for very long.  We were heartbroken to lose her to Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) in November of 2014 when she was only several months old.
