Fred was born April, 2017 in a Farmington Hills, Michigan neighborhood feral cat colony. Smokey Acres Vice President, Rose O’Hara, worked with several neighbors and rescue colleagues to coordinate a trap-neuter-return program in an effort to halt further breeding. Several kittens, some of whom were Fred’s siblings, were rehabilitated and adopted into loving families with the help of Ferndale Cat Shelter. Fred had other plans for himself. Since Fred refused rehabilitation and wished to remain feral, he was relocated to Smokey Acres. This little buddy shuns his humans but, he sure does love other cats. We’ve found the perfect spot for him in one of our outdoor pens. Here he has access to breezes and outdoor sights which make him feel at home. His best friend is Mr. Clean. These two fluffy kitties are often seen sitting close together to take in all of our country views.
