Tippy Toes joined Smokey Acres in November 2011 as an elderly cat who was abandoned by his owner in a condominium complex.  A friendly neighbor made certain that Tippy was fed but, was unable to adopt him herself.  That is when Smokey Acres co-founder, Jeffrey Korner, found Tippy while taking his daily walk at lunch through the condo complex.

Due to Tippy’s advanced age and general poor health, he was not an ideal candidate for adoption so, he simply stayed with us.  Our quiet buddy didn’t remain long.  In April 2012, he was diagnosed with oral cancer.  We kept him comfortable until euthanasia in May that same year.  Although his stay was short-lived, we are glad that he spent his final months in a warm home with a full belly.
